Binsted School Supports Children in Need Triathlon-Completed!!

Huge congratulations to Alba, Oscar, Benedict and William from Beech class who completed their triathlon challenge for BBC Children In Need on Friday 3rd November. They have each covered a total distance of 21 miles by swimming, cycling and running in order to cover the distance between England and France across the English Channel. They concluded their challenge with the final mile of running taking place as a whole school event. All the children and staff from Year R up to Year 6 completed the 4 lap run in the rain to support this worthy cause. The children had been treated to Hot Chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream in the morning and celebrated reaching 'France' at the finishline with Pain Au Chocolat. We are very proud of this team, who at 8 years old have really challenged themselves in order to help others.
