Landscape grounds working party 2017

Exciting new project for 2017 -18 and beyond!

The school grounds are looking very tired and in desperate need of a makeover.  As a community, we wanted to pool our ideas and to be able to come up with a long term, sustainable plan. We want our new space to be open to all so that the local community as well as the school community can enjoy and use it. The first stage is  to work with Hampshire County Council Landscape to develop a shared plan. FOBS have kindly funded the fees for Principal Landscape Architect, Catherine  Eldred - which has made this possible.

Each workshop has included  staff, children, including our Young Governors, parents and Governors. It has been amazing sharing our ideas and I am very proud of our children who have clearly articulated their views.

So far we have had two workshops  - these  have looked at how the we currently use the space, what works, what does not and what we would like to change.  We have some amazing ideas which will now be put into a plan.
