We have been making 2D shapes
Our first ever lunch at school
Today the children stayed for lunch for the first time. Despite a few early nerves, they all coped brilliantly with it. They sat so well, using their cutlery and eating most, if not all, of their food. Well done SUPER STARS!
Roald Dahl's Birthday!
We read 'The Enormous Crocodile' today...he was quite naughty! And then made our own masks. The children told me they were friendly, with only sausages on their menu! We also sang a 'Hungry Crocodile' song. I wonder if they can share it with you at home?
Please click on the link below to see the children singing their 'Hungry Crocodile' song
We also make 'Crocodile' kebabs! Can you spot all of the different green fruit and vegetables that we used?
Below are photographs from last year's Oak class (2020-2021)
Look at how much we have grown over the last year!
Our Class Butterflies
Today we set our beautiful butterflies free!
They came to us as little caterpillars a month ago. We have watched them grow and change into chrysalis'. Two weeks later they came out of their chrysalis' as beautiful Painted Lady butterflies!
We acted out the life cycle of a butterfly...can you spot the different stages.
We even know that this very special change is called metamorphosis!
Please talk about this amazing experience with your child.
The children really enjoyed their morning at Eggars School for the fun Multi skills festival. They were all involved in playing many different games together run by the senior children. The children were all exceptionally well behaved and demonstrated great sportsmanship towards each other. Great team work Oak class!
We've been visiting Africa again. This time playing the Djembe drums!
We've made African Masks today.
