Thomas' Poem

My Magic Box 

I will put in my box…

The sideways scuttle of a rock pool crab,

The squawk of a grey and white seagull and

The joyous delight of scoring a goal.

The oily black cog from my trusty bike,

 The creamy, sweet taste of my brand new chocolate bar

And The comforting warmth of my Mum.

The delicious aroma of a summer barbecue,

The bright beady eyes of my hamster Fudge and

The splash of a swimmer gliding through the water.

My box is fashioned from gold and silver and steel. Its hinges are made from marble. In the corners there are secrets and on the lid there are sparkling diamonds.

I shall hide my box on top of a mountain and treasure its secrets forever.
