Humanity Quotes for Kids

At Binsted CofE Primary School, we want every child to have opportunities to stop, think, wonder and reflect. Through our Christian vision and our values of Faith, Hope and Love, we encourage children to explore who they are, how they treat others, the beauty of the world around them and the bigger questions of life.

We use Door Moments, Window Moments, Mirror Moments and Candle Moments to help our children develop spiritually and make sense of themselves, their relationships and the world in which they live.

🪞 Mirror Moments - SELF

Children are encouraged to think about who they are and what makes them unique. They learn to recognise their own strengths, feelings, talents and experiences and to appreciate the person they are becoming.

Through reflection, prayer and quiet moments, children have opportunities to think about what matters to them and how their faith, hopes and values shape the way they see themselves.

🚪 Door Moments - OTHERS

Children are encouraged to look beyond themselves and think about the people around them. We help them develop empathy, kindness, compassion and respect for everyone in our school and wider community.

Through our Christian values of Faith, Hope and Love, children explore how their choices and actions can make a positive difference to others. They learn to listen to different perspectives, celebrate differences and show love and care in their relationships.

🪟 Window Moments - BEAUTY

Children are encouraged to notice, appreciate and wonder at the world around them. This might be through the beauty of nature, creativity, music, art, literature or special moments shared with others.

At Binsted, our wonderful natural surroundings provide many opportunities to pause and appreciate the world. Children are encouraged to explore their own responses to beauty and wonder and to consider how these experiences influence the way they see and care for the world.

🕯️ Candle Moments - BEYOND

Children are encouraged to wonder about the bigger questions of life and to explore ideas that go beyond their everyday experiences.

Through our Christian foundation, children have opportunities to think about God, faith, purpose, hope and what gives life meaning. They are encouraged to ask questions, share their ideas and listen respectfully to the beliefs and experiences of others.

Our candle moments give children time to pause, reflect and wonder about their place in the world and the wider community.
