What are we learning?

Maths

In our maths this term we are working really hard at understanding the numbers 0-5. Although to some this may seem simple but it's about going DEEP into the numbers... For example, What different ways can these numbers be represented? What are the different number bonds and can they be instantly recalled. Can they subitise the numbers (looking at a group of objects and instantly realising how many are there without counting? To help your child we have included some great songs for you to sing together and all of the above can be done in play and every day life (see link below).

We are also working on capacity, so any exploring at home with liquids fitting into different containers would be really beneficial (bath time would be perfect!). 

Playing any maths games would also be greatly beneficial...Topmarks has many games. Search under 'EYFS' and 'Maths'.
